Wiki....I knew someone by that name

Again, loved the video!

Don't really get why one would use the wiki thing for personal use, such as a trip. Personally, I would just call my homies if we were planning a trip. I mean, what has happened to "talking" to people. It's all texting and emailing and now wiking!! What the.... But like I have said before, I am old fashioned that way.

However, if it was to be used like the following website, then woo hoo!!
http://www.libsuccess.org/index.php?title=Main_Page
I found some totally excellent library sites on the web page. I am doing more reader's advisory, so I found the "Readers' Advisory" category helpful.

I enjoyed reading my fellow co-workers favorite things. It looks like the pbwiki site could be useful, just not for me.

Web 2.0...what the?

What does it mean to me?

More things to learn...but I will never be computer savey
Even more fun things to do online...but I still find books to be better entertainment
The more things change, the more they stay the same

Explore Technorati

Do a tag search for web 2.0. What do you find?
I found that I hated it. There was all this jargon that I don't get. But I guess that is the point of this project, learning new things.

What are the related tags?
One of the related tags was "5 ways to log into several Gmail accounts at the same time", which sounded great. Maybe I will come back to it sometime ....NOT. I tried moving past page 1, but an error would come up on the next page, every time. Whatever.

Was anything interesting?....I suppose, if you get this stuff.

Was anything surprising?....nope.

So far, I have really enjoyed my time learning new things, but this week SUCKS!!

Del.icio.us

It seems like a good idea...if you don't mind sharing your bookmarks.

I do see the potential of this tool for research assistance. And it's also an easy way to create bookmarks that can be accessed from anywhere, which is helpful for patrons that use public computers. However, is the library going to OK the installation of the buttons on the computers for staff and patrons to use?

Oh yeah, I forgot, I liked the info video. It really was in plain English.

WebFeat

I followed the directions and typed in my home town. The search resulted in 23 resources being used. However, didn't find anything interesting. Guess my home town isn't interesting.

I found this website, which I had a blast using. I just wish I could post some of my snowflakes

Check out what I did at the following website

My husband's coworker told him about this website. The guys on the force obviously use their laptops in the police car wisely. http://gizoogle.com/
